  • Parsley

    Parsley is grown for
its leaves while hamburg parsley is grown for its roots.
The plants are grown in full sun and in any good garden
soil. Hamburg parsley may be better on sandy soil. Plant
the seed 1 inch deep, in April or July, in rows 12
inches apart. Thin to 9 inch spacings. Parsley seed
germinates slowly so a light mulch may be beneficial.
Parsley may need to be side dressed to keep it growing.

Harvest the leaves when they are at the proper stage
for the intended use. The roots of hamburg rooted parsley
    are ready in October.
